On November 20, American clothing chain Forever 21 released the first edition of their new fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazine, just in time for the holidays. Although in recent years the world of print media has seen slumps, Forever 21 are bucking the trend by releasing their magazine in both print and online forms.
The magazine will be published quarterly and looks set to compete with H&M’s magazine. Each issue of the magazine will include two to three features, a fashion gallery of looks with styling tips, coverage of trends available at Forever 21, street style, makeup and beauty tutorials, a lifestyle section including the latest in books/art/music, coverage of noteworthy Forever 21 collaborations and an interview with a notable VIP. Phew.
The first edition includes interviews with well-known fashion bloggers like Rumi Neely of Fashion Toast and Susie Lau of Style Bubble, a look at Forever 21’s new cosmetic collection Love & Beauty, and a set of style tips that pair up the latest trends with current offerings from the store.
To get your hands on a copy, simply spend $40 or more at Forever 21 stores nationwide or check it out online for free. The magazine will also be available in Forever 21 stores in South Korea and Japan. The next edition is due out March 1, 2010.
