5 Spring Scents You Should Start Wearing Now

Sure, we still have a month until spring officially arrives (and probably even longer before we actually feel it’s presence), but that doesn’t mean we can’t start prepping for the mild air and budding blooms. The following five perfumes are perfect to start spritzing now — they’re delicate yet charismatic; floral yet fresh. And before you know it, the weather will be warm and you’ll have already decided on your signature spring scent.

1. Bottega Veneta Eau de Parfum (1.7 oz), $110
It may be an “oldie” (the Italian design house launched their premiere perfume in 2011), but it’s been a true spring goodie ever since. Notes of plum, pink pepper and sambac jasmine combine to create a clean floral fragrance that lasts—and transforms—throughout the day.

2. Balenciaga Rosabotanica (1.7 oz), $100
Balenciaga describes their latest fragrance as spicy, beautiful and dangerous. Of course, it all depends upon how you define the word “dangerous,” but we will say that the green rose and milky fig scent, mixed with notes of citrus and white woods, definitely gives it a unique, mystifying charge. One that’s tame enough for spring, but just barely.

3. Tory Burch Eau de Parfum Spray (1.7 oz), $82
Tory Burch’s debut scent beautifully combines floral (peony, tuberose) and citrus (grapefruit, neroli) notes, along with the subtlest hint of earthiness (vetiver, sandalwood). It’s so lovely, and appropriate for any time of year, but we think spring will really bring out the best in this brand-new fragrance.

4. Philosophy Loveswept Eau de Toilette Spray (0.5 oz), $16
Philosophy’s new perfume is all about spring. Its bouquet is garden-fresh without being over-the-top floral—in addition to notes of blue violet, lotus blossom, pink jasmine and passion fruit, it contains subtle whiffs of amber and white cedarwood to balance out the bloomy vibe. It’s also quite sexy, in that new-love-sweeping-you-off-your-feet sort of way.

5. Fresh Life Eau de Parum (1 oz), $48
This spring scent is straight up floral, no doubt about it. One spritz and you’re enveloped in a bouquet of grapefruit, lilac leaves, amber, and warm orange, along with subtle undertones of sweet cucumber, velvet bergamot, and vanilla grass. It’s the perfect morning (or early afternoon) pick-me-up), especially once the new season brings its warm and refreshing breezes whisping through our windows.
