British “It Girl” Alexa Chung showed off her new collaboration with Madewell on Monday night, as part of a presentation for New York Fashion Week. Alexa invited her London buddies, like Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe, to model in the presentation, which was held at the Bowery Hotel.
“I just took sketches in and talked about them,” Alexa said of the design process. “I drew really slightly rubbish drawings and then said, “But can it have dots on it?’”
The initial vibe from the collection? Very Alexa. In almost every outfit, from the cuffed high-waisted shorts to the Peter Pan-collared mini dresses, there was a heavy dose of the former model. This is hardly a surprise; Alexa’s style has been revered ever since she quit her modeling career and stepped on to television screens as a host.
The collection will be available in August. What do you think of it? Would you buy a piece of Alexa Chung For Madewell and if so, which one?
