Yesterday, less than a month after his death, Alexander McQueen’s final collection was shown to a small audience in Paris. The show notes told of McQueen’s inspiration for the collection – Byzantine art and Old Master paintings – and ended with the words: “Each piece is unique, as was he.” What more can be said?
