Late last year American Apparel announced the launch of their first nail color line, Nail Lacquer, with a full line-up of the vivid colors that define the LA-based brand. For Summer 2010, they have gone low-key with a selection of new shades that, while colorful, are under-the-radar and totally on-trend; think summery shades of violet, turquoise and buttercup yellow.
The summer collection includes (above, from left to right): Malibu Green, a bottle-green turquoise inspired by the Californian beach; Esprit, a pale violet tint; California Trooper, a muted khaki shade reminiscent of Chanel’s hit violet/grey hue; Top Coat/Clear; Butter, a sunlit, buttercup yellow; and, Summer Peach, a delicious, creamy peach hue.
American Apparel’s Nail Lacquer line is priced at $6 a bottle, or you can nab three colors for just $15. The collection is available at American Apparel stores and online at AmericanApparel.com.
