While stunning supermodel Angela Lindvall has forged quite the modeling career, her true passion is environmental activism and sustainable living. Last year, the eco-friendly beauty visited the John Hardy headquarters in Bali, where she was inspired by the company’s commitment to self-sustainability and environmentally friendly production methods. The visit has resulted in a partnership between Lindvall and John Jardy; not only is Lindvall the face of the latest John Hardy campaign, she has also teamed up with John Hardy’s creative director/designer Guy Bedarida on a new sustainable jewelry collection – The Hijau Collection.
The Hijau Collection, which takes its name from the Balinese word for “green,” was inspired by sustainable materials like bamboo (a long-standing motif of the John Hardy label) and is made from sterling silver and a variety of gemstones. The luxe line retails for between $295 and $3,000 at Saks Fifth Avenue. Additionally, Lindvall put her skills to use by designing an organic cotton charm bracelet (pictured) in a variety of bright colors. The bracelet retails for $95 and 100% of the profits from the sale of the bracelet go to ForestEthics, an organization that works towards the protection of endangered forests.
