Beyonce & Fashion For Haiti

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) have officially named pop star Beyonce as the official face of their “Fashion For Haiti” tees.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) have officially named pop star Beyonce as the official face of their “Fashion For Haiti” tees.

As the newly-appointed spokesperson for Fashion For Haiti”, Beyonce said: “Join me and the fashion industry by buying and wearing the Fashion For Haiti t-shirt. Together we can send a message of hope by raising much needed funds for the people of Haiti.”

The CFDA plan to donate the net proceeds from the t-shirts to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. The limited-edition tees were designed by Peter Arnell. In the past, Arnell designed the CFDA’s “Fashion For America” tees, featuring a mended heart logo, which raised money for the Twin Towers Fund following 9/11.

The black and lime green logo features the tagline “Hope Help Heal Haiti” underneath a block design of “To Haiti With Love,” with a map of the nation standing in for the word “Haiti.” The sleeve will be marked with the “Fashion for Haiti” slogan and the inside collar will have “CFDA” printed on it.

The tees will cost $25 each and will be available in women’s and men’s styles. They will hit shops and e-boutiques next week, on February 16 (for more info, visit CFDA.com).  Are you in the market for a charitable tee?
