Last week I was a woman on a mission. Having left all my favorite fashion magazines behind in Australia, I decided it was time to start a few subscriptions. So I headed to Magazines.com and picked out Elle.
Then I decided that I may as well get Vogue and Harpers Bazaar, seeing as they are so cheap (I mean, seriously, $8 for a year of Bazaar?). I already get Nylon and my guilty pleasure, Teen Vogue (my boyfriend bought me this for my birthday - he was so embarassed to be signing up for Teen Vogue).
Then, as I am about to checkout, they of course offer up a bunch of suggestions. Should I get Glamour? Should I get Cosmopolitan? I am a total sucker for these last-minute purchases so I added Cosmopolitan. Total trash but what the hell, right?
The next day we were over at a friend’s house and there was a Rolling Stone on the counter. Within 24 hours a subscription to this had been purchased. Finally today I received my awards balance for my debit card and it is just enough points to get either a subscription to Marie Claire or a $5 Starbucks voucher. I don’t really read Marie Claire normally but I guess I’m a magazine junkie because that’s what I got.
I don’t think I’ll be getting any of the magazines until September or October but I am already anticipating days of lying on the couch, reading magazines and zoning out.

Oh I love magazines! $8 for a year is a great price, wish it was that cheap to subscribe to magazines here in Sweden…=)
I only subscribe to Vogue (UK) but always get NYLON, i-D, Elle and occasionally TeenVogue, Bazaar, Dazed & Confused, and if I’m in London or Paris then I get whatever pver-priced internationals are going!
metropolitan homes for home ideas and i have elle and cosmo (got them for free for a years subscription). i use to get nylon too!

Dang. That is a lot of subscriptions at once!! You’ll be busy busy busy reading and flipping thru! I have had subscriptions to all those at one time or another but my absolute fave is W. I actually save all of my W issues and toss the rest. They are beautiful, artistic and inspiring. I recommend it – if you want to add another to your pile!!
