There are a few nail polish colors that every girl should have in her beauty kit—for instance, a classic red, a popping pink, a neat navy, just to name a few. On top of all these hues, however, you should definitely make sure you have a basic beige. After all, this is a color that will go with everything in your closet, plus it is appropriate for every occasion you attend—from business meetings to weddings. Earlier this year, it was announced that New York-based fashion label Ruffian would be teaming up with MAC Cosmetics on a line of makeup and today we have a first look at the collection. With that said, color us excited! The collection features a line of chic press-on nails in a range of different half-moon shapes and color combinations. As you may know, the Ruffian boys create a half-moon manicure every season, which they incorporate into their catwalk show, and this served as the inspiration behind their MAC collection. We’re particularly partial to the black-and-gold combination, but the trio of blood red, black, and cream is sure to be a major hit. In addition to the press-on nails, there will be a selection of matching lipsticks. The full Ruffian for MAC Cosmetics collection will be available on June 18 at MACCosmetics.com. Deborah Lippmann might not be the first nail polish brand to create a collection inspired by the movies, but it might be one of the best. Yes, Deborah Lippmann has taking inspiration from Snow White and the Huntsman, the new blockbuster starring Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart, to create a must-have nail polish duo. The two polishes represent the good vs. evil conundrum that takes place in the film. On the good side, you will find Kiss, a pretty pale pink hue inspired by Kristen Stewart’s character, Snow White. On the evil side, you will find Dark Side of the Moon, a deep aubergine hue inspired by Charlize Theron’s Evil Queen. To buy this nail lacquer duo, head to Nordstrom.com. The set retails for $25.

It is not unlike Chanel to turn your beauty plan upside down. First Chanel launched faux tattoos, then Chanel showed bejeweled eyebrows, and for cruise, Chanel unveiled a series of “beauty spot” stickers in the shape of its signature double-C logo. And this is just the good news. The even better news is that these adorable stickers will be sold as part of an upcoming beauty collection, alongside the Mouche de Beauté customized highlight and pink eyeshadow also used in the cruise show. We can’t wait and we are willing to bet that you can’t either. The Collection Versailles de Chanel will be available later this year.

What better way to wrap up the week than with a sneak peek at the upcoming Andy Warhol-inspired collection from NARS Cosmetics. Sadly, we can’t expect a full sneak peek just yet—the collection is not due out until later this year—but what you can expect is an abstract 12 seconds during which you will find that you become inexplicably excited about what is to come. And what is to come, you ask? What we do know, so far, is that the collection is said to be NARS’ largest collaboration yet and that it will involve original packaging and novel new shades. One of the most prevalent trends at Monday’s Met Gala was also one of the most unexpected and one of the most bold: dark lips. Kate Bosworth chose a deep plum that matched her Prada dress, Camilla Belle’s dark lips provided plenty of contrast against her shimmering Ralph Lauren Collection confection, and Lana Del Rey opted for a gothic look that worked perfectly with her dress-and-cape combo.
