Although jewelry label Bing Bang NYC is known for its dark side, we were happily taken aback by the darker qualities seen in its new and limited edition Black Label collection. According to the brand, the line is inspired by “the amulets of the wanderer”, as well as the “principles of sacred geometry.” When translated into jewelry, this means pieces like the Witches Heart necklace, a large pendant heaving with lockets and charms, or the Iroquois Wanderer ring, a chunky ring that looks more like armor than jewelry. To check out some images from the Black Label lookbook, which is titled Alone Together and was photographed by Scott Lowe, click inside, or head to BingBangNYC.com.

Top tastemakers around the world are partial to denim label J Brand—from Kate Middleton to Rihanna to Jessica Alba. Given this following, it is no surprise that the label has decided to branch out for spring 2012, with its first ready-to-wear collection, no less. According to creative director Donald Oliver and his design team, the aim behind the RTW collection was to create pieces that are “wearable and understandable, yet unexpected.” Accordingly, you will find plenty of closet basics—from boyfriend blazers to buttery-soft leather jackets—with surprising twists, such as a tuxedo silhouette here or a pop of color there. Although it is tempting to fill your closet with designer duds and statement pieces, a selection of basics is also essential. With that said, we are pretty excited about the new GapPure line by Gap. The line is an extension of the retailer’s GapBody underwear line, with a focus on comfortable yet cute pieces—including lightweight slouchy sweaters, super soft tees, sleeveless tops, and tanks. More importantly, these aren’t pieces that can only be worn on a Sunday morning or to the gym. On the contrary, these can definitely be paired with your designer skirts and high-end jeans to create a sporty-chic look. To check out the full GapPure collection, head to a Gap store, or shop online at Gap.com. Prices start at $24.

It is no secret that a great piece of jewelry can change your entire outfit, so when we recently discovered jewelry brand Jacquie Aiche, we were pretty tickled. The line features statement jewels made from an assorted range of precious and semi-precious gemstones and mixed metals—think diamonds, emeralds, fossils, minerals, pink tourmalines, rocks, and rubies, just to start. Even more exciting, there are so many different pieces. We are particularly partial to the hand chain finger bracelets (one example pictured above) and the snake body chain, both of which Rihanna wore while vacationing in Hawaii last month. The Jacquie Aiche collection is available at stores like Shopbop and Madison LA, as well as online at JacquieAiche.com. Prices start at $100.

What do you get when you mix the brilliance of director Sofia Coppola with the whimsical designs of Marni and the budget-friendly retailer that is H&M? A match made in fashion heaven, basically. Coppola has directed the commercial for H&M’s latest collaboration, a capsule collection with Marni due out on March 8. In the commercial, you will see British actress Imogen Poots by a pool, at a party, and riding in a car, all the while wearing pieces from the collection, natch. And it is all set to the dreamy sound of Bryan Ferry’s “Avalon,” which seems quite fitting. Do you have a better plan this Saturday afternoon? Click inside to watch the full commercial.

Footwear designers have plenty of room to be playful, but we are particularly excited about the spring 2012 collection from Loeffler Randall. Designer Jessie Randall wanted to create a spring collection that felt “fresh and new,” so she took inspiration from a variety of sources—see her mood board above—and set out to infuse her designs with neon, polka dots, neoprene, and woven straw, just to name a few. The result is an eclectic and fun collection that is perfect for spring. Key pieces include: the Dita sandal, a tribal-print platform heel with a peep-toe and tie-up ankle strap; the Chloe, a classic nude wegde; and the Filippa, a flat sandal in bottle-green python print. To check out the full collection, head to LoefflerRandall.com.
