Chanel Introduces Graphite Nail Polish For Fall 2011

Chanel’s global creative director of makeup, Peter Philips, has created an amazing new nail polish for fall 2011. Called Graphite, the nail polish is an amazing metallic pewter color with just a hint of shimmering green-gold.

Chanel Introduces Graphite Nail Polish For Fall 2011Here at Mama’s A Rolling Stone, there are many reasons we excitedly look forward to the Chanel runway show every season, not least of which is the new nail color that is sure to debut. Naturally, when we spotted a metallic gray nail lacquer at yesterday’s fall 2011 show, we weren’t disappointed.

The new nail color – which you can see on Natasha Poly’s fingernails at right – is called Graphite and it is an amazing metallic pewter color with just a hint of shimmering green-gold. Not only does it perfectly complement the ash-black pieces that Karl Lagerfeld created for Chanel’s fall 2011 collection, but it is also a flawless match for the gunmetal-silver eye shadow seen at the show.

The best news, however, is that Graphite will be part of a limited edition trio of shades that will arrive in Chanel stores at the end of the summer, just in time for the fall/winter season. No word yet on the other two shades but you can bet your bottom dollar that Chanel’s global creative director of makeup Peter Philips, who creates each season’s nail color shades, has something amazing up his sleeve.
