Late last year, Chanel showed its pre-fall 2011 collection in its Rue Cambon salon, presenting a collection inspired by Istanbul and the rich Byzantine architecture of ancient Turkey. Fast forward to today and Chanel has launched the Byzance makeup collection, a limited edition lineup of opulent makeup products. The collection includes: the Regarde Signe de Chanel palette, a quartet of powder eyeshadows in copper, taupe, gold, and bronze; two Ioues Contraste blushes, one in Or, a sheer gold, and one in Rouge, a pearly red; and, a Rouge Allure lipstick in Rouge Byzantin, a ruby red with a hint of sapphire. The Byzane collection is pricey—products start at $43—but if you want to add a hint of luxury to your beauty kit, this might just be a good place to start. The collection is available now at Chanel.com.
