The countdown has officially begun. Chanel’s latest limited-edition shade of nail color, Particulière, will hit beauty counters in January 2010. After Chanel’s limited-edition run of Jade nail polish sold out within 40 minutes of its launch, it is no wonder that the anticipation for Particulière is quickly growing.
Particulière (Particular) is a pale grey shade with a violet-ish tint that, on the catwalk, accessorized the neutral, rustic-inspired clothes that Karl Lagerfeld sent down the runway. Alongside Particulière, Chanel will release two further shades, Trendresse (Tenderness) and Inattendu (Unexpected). Tendresse is a pale, salmon-hued pink while Inattendu is an on-trend, nude shade.
All three shades were described by Chanel as “clean, classic neutrals that are infinitely wearable and effortlessly chic.” Who are we to disagree?
All three polishes will be priced at around $23 each. Given that Chanel Jade fetched over $200 on Ebay, once it had sold out in stores, you would be wise to get in early if you want to get your hands on Particulière.
Editor’s Note: We just headed over to Chanel.com and noticed that all three shades can be added to your shopping cart at their online store. We didn’t push through a purchase but so far, so good – it looks like they are available for purchase.
