Parisian fashion house Chanel has revealed their new spring ad campaign, shot by head designer Karl Lagerfeld. The Latin-inspired campaign features German supermodel Claudia Schiffer, Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen and Lagerfeld-favorite Baptiste Giabiconi.
The campaign was shot in Buenos Aires in Argentina, a surprising choice of location for many considering the Spring 2010 runway show had a heavy country barnyard theme. Claudia is even seen sporting a traditional gaucho hat, apparently a wardrobe staple in Argentina.
It was Lagerfeld’s first time in Argentina. Back in October, when the shoot took place, Lagerfeld told WWD, “I only go to places if I have a professional reason. I’m not a tourist.” He also added that he was planning to work on a forthcoming book about architecture in Argentina.
