It is a well known fact that actress Chloë Sevigny plays by her own rules when it comes to fashion. So, were we surprised to see that her pre-spring collection for Opening Ceremony features a range of t-shirts printed with her favorite photographs? Not so much. Chloë teamed up with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation to create the capsule t-shirt collection—each tee is printed with a photograph or collage by late artist Robert Mapplethorpe, who was known for his black-and-white photographs of pornographic film stars, flowers, and nude men, among other things. The t-shirts are available today (through December 20) for pre-sale at OpeningCeremony.Us. A portion of the proceeds from t-shirt sales will benefit the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation, which has raised and donated millions of dollars to fund medical research in the fight against AIDS and HIV infection.
