Man-about-town Derek Blasberg is the latest fashion industry insider to write a book, with his debut tome, Classy: Exceptional Advice for the Extremely Modern Lady, due out in April. Classy is billed as a hilarious handbook that will ‘provide everything you need to know about fashion, socializing, dating and etiquette.’
It’s safe to say that Blasberg is well-equipped to write this book. He is the senior fashion news editor at V Magazine and a contributing editor at Style.com. Read: he spends a good portion of his year jet-setting around the world, attending fashion week, mixing with socialites and celebrities. No one has the inside track like he does.
The book, which definitely appears to be a tongue-in-cheek poke at the fashion industry, is meant to train you to be ‘a lady, and not a tramp!’ According to the publisher, it is filled with “tons of practical tips and tools for learning to flaunt what you’ve got, dozens of specific how-tos, common no-nos and huge blunders that even smart girls make.’
You can pre-order Classy, which is due out on April 6, from Amazon for $11.55. What do you think? Are you ready to buy-in to Blasberg’s world?
