There’s a nail color revolution coming to a salon near you. On May 1, leading nail color brand, CND, will launch the highly-anticipated Shellac Collection, a hybrid nail color nearly five years in the making that promises to change the way women feel about their nails.

This is what we know: this “revolutionary” product, not quite a polish, applies seamlessly, lasts for two chip-free weeks and can be removed in minutes.

The secret behind the Shellac Collection is the mix; Shellac combines traditional nail polish with UV gel polish. It is applied the way you would a regular polish, yet it can be cured under a UV lamp for zero dry time. As for the easy removal, you can also purchase Shellac Remover Wraps that will break your polish down in seconds.

The Shellac Collection comes in 12 shades that run the gamut of feminine colors, from a pale Parisian pink to a rich cherry red. Although the initial 12 shades will include longtime CND favorites, newer, bolder shades are just round the corner.

Shellac will launch in 2000 salons nationwide, with prices determined by your salon. Prices are expected to be around 50% more than your basic manicure, though you’ll save money by taking fewer trips to the salon. What do you think? Are you up for the test?

YES! I need a product like this in my life, I’m so tired of doing my nails every 3 days or so, it becomes incredibly redundant, and the joy I receive from it seems to get lower and lower every time.

I will be trying it out on Friday, they are charging $35 which is a great price. Looking forward to having something that is guaranteed not to make my nails brittle like the OPI axxium did from buffing.
