On March 7, Danielle Scutt will release her second collaboration with Topshop. The Spring 2010 collection focused on “off duty” solutions for the modern girl’s summer wardrobe.
Danielle said of the collection: “I want the wearer to feel confident and inspired by wearing my clothes as I believe this collection will comfortably enable the Topshop customer to be elegantly and comfortably dressed from daybreak to night fall.”
Danielle, who is known for her use of vivid color, took her inspiration from a variety of sources. All the prints in this collection were inspired by the patterns and textures of animal fur.
As for the clothes, Danielle took a trip back in time when sourcing her inspiration. She delved into the detailing and silhouettes of vintage swimwear to create the 1950s-style playsuit, which comes in both lime green and mustard. For the turquoise leotard, she was inspired by shapes of the 1980s.
