What do you get when you mix one of summer’s most highly-anticipated movies – Eat, Pray, Love, starring Julia Roberts – with one of summer’s biggest trends – global chic? The new collection from Dogeared Jewels, apparently. For summer, designer Marcia Maizel-Clarke has created the Eat Pray Love collection, a low-key line of jewelry, travel accessories, tote bags, bookmarks and notebooks that takes inspiration from the film (which, in turn, is based on the bestselling memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert).
Eat, Pray, Love tells the story of Elizabeth Gilbert’s spiritual journey through Italy, India and Indonesia. The Eat Pray Love collection blends vivid colors and ethnic-inspired embellishments to create a series of pieces that reflect the story’s destinations. For instance, a sari silk bracelet in bright pink, red and orange, is inspired by the brilliant silk wraps seen in India, while a sterling silver lotus petal necklace captures the lotus ponds of Bali. Additionally, the Eat Pray Love collection is made from a variety of earth-friendly materials, including recycled silver, gemstones, hand-dyed silk, embroidery, hemp thread, corn plastic and organic cotton.
The Eat Pray Love collection is available now on Dogeared.com. Prices range from $10 for a luggage tag to $152 for a prayer bead necklace.
