The Top 4 Fall 2012 Makeup Trends to Try Now

What better way to end the week than with a sneak peek at the four biggest beauty trends to look forward to this fall? We can’t think of one, which is why we are super excited to present you with today’s special Beauty Queen story. Even better, we have noticed that all four of these trends have something in common: they are super easy to try at home, whether you are a makeup pro or a beauty amateur. So, what are you waiting for? Click inside to find out all the need-to-know details on the four must-try fall beauty trends.

Bordeaux Lips
When it comes to lips this fall, the redder, the better—Bordeaux red, that is. This red-wine red was seen at heavyweight shows like Yves Saint Laurent (pictured) and Gucci and has since been seen on top tastemakers like Kate Bosworth (pictured) and Camilla Belle—at the Met Gala, no less. To try it yourself, check out NARS’ Pure Matte Lipstick in Volga ($25) and Lancome’s Midnight Roses L’Absolu Nu in Rouge Resille ($30).

Navy Nails
One of the boldest beauty trends this fall is also one of the easiest to try—it is a navy nail. Seen at shows like Karen Walker (pictured) and on stars like Taylor Swift (pictured), this moody mani is perfect for the modern woman-on-the-go thanks to its part sassy, part sophisticated vibe. To make it your own, check out Butter London’s Royal Navy Nail Lacquer ($14) and Forever 21’s Navy Shimmer Nail Polish ($3).

Bright Eyes
Pick your favorite color and then prepare to turn heads because this fall, your eyes should be bright and colorful. A rainbow of colors was seen on the fall runways, but we particularly liked the blue at Anna Sui (pictured), a look that January Jones (pictured) recently tried. To try a bright eye this fall, pick up Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow in Ultra Violet ($21) or NYX’s Eyeshadow Trio in Shangri-La ($5).

Hair Jewels
By far the easiest of these four fall trends, hair jewels were spotted at shows like Dolce & Gabbana (pictured), a look that was soon emulated by stars like Isabel Lucas (pictured). No instructions necessary here, just pick up a piece like Vanessa Mooney’s Ramro Headpiece ($66) and Alexandria’s Goddess Chain Headwrap ($24) and head out the door. Just remember: you will draw plenty of eyes your way with a pretty trend like this.
