British supermodel Naomi Campbell is putting together another Fashion For Relief charity catwalk show, set to take place next week at New York Fashion Week. The event will pair top models and designers and will benefit the Haiti relief effort. “Everyone else is trying to help Haiti, and we wanted to do our part on the fashion side of things,” Campbell said.
Although the event is still coming together, details are trickling in on the famous faces taking part. The event will be hosted by Fergie, the Duchess of York. Naomi will be one of the many catwalk models, marking a rare runway appearance for the supermodel. Designer Donna Karan is also rumored to be making a runway appearance.
Naomi’s fellow supermodel Christy Turlington will participate in some way, while celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe will be putting together the looks. Marc Jacobs has created a special Louis Vuitton handbag that will go on sale at Net-A-Porter on March 15, with all proceeds going to CARE.
“Fashion for Relief only works if everyone comes together and makes it work,” Campbell said. Charlotte Ronson agreed to give up her original NYFW time slot to aid the event.
The major news: anyone can take part. Tickets cost between $100 and $150, which is nothing considering the spectacular it promises to be. If you’re an American Express cardmember you can purchase your ticket today at Ticketmaster. If you’re not, tickets will be available on Monday from 10pm EST at Ticketmaster.
