Fashion Magazines: April 2011

One of the many things the month of April is known for is, unfortunately, rain, which means you’ll need a stack of fashion magazines to keep you busy on those dreary drizzly days. Happily, the April 2011 issues have landed and they’re overflowing with fashion and style inspiration. To be specific, you’ll find details on the best beauty products, couture reports, designer profiles, accessory reports, denim guides, spring hair tips, body tips, and even a Most Glam list. As for the covers, you’ll find an assortment of pop stars and actresses, including Rihanna, Amanda Seyfried, Kate Winslet and more. On that note, here’s the scoop on the cover girls, the inside stories, and what you can expect from seven major fashion magazines in April.

Pop star Rihanna makes a statement in Chanel on the cover of Vogue’s April 2011 issue, the Body Issue. Inside, she discusses her battle with her body: “Over the holidays, and even during filming, I realized that I
actually like my body, even if it’s not perfect according to the book. I just feel sexy. For the first time, I don’t want to get rid of the curves. I just want to tone it up. My body is comfortable, and it’s not unhealthy, so I’m going to rock with it.”

Actress Amanda Seyfriend wears a colorful Prada dress on the cover of Elle’s April 2011 issue. Inside, she reveals that she was once told she needed Botox: “I was like, Damn you! But we’re in Hollywood. I’m on a huge screen. With these new digital cameras, you can see the peach fuzz on my face.”

Harper’s Bazaar
Actress Courtney Cox appears on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar’s April 2011 issue, the Fabulous At Every Age special. Inside, she discusses her marital troubles: “The thing is, when you get older, it’s more about compatibility than it is about love. I think it’s more about needing just a kind of peace and stillness. I’m kind of all over the place, and I need grounding. I want to be calm. I want to change a lot. I want to live not outside but inside. It’s nothing with David; it’s just what I’m searching for.”

Marie Claire
Limitless co-stars Bradley Cooper and Abbie Cornish share the cover of Marie Claire’s April 2011 issue, the Couples Issue. Inside, Abbie dishes on her idea of a perfect date: “My ideal date would start with a great meal, good wine for sure, maybe outdoors. Then afterward, some unplanned adventure.”

Comedian and actress Tina Fey appears on the cover of InStyle’s April 2011 issue, the Color Issue. Inside, she talks about the style of her 30 Rock character Liz Lemon: “It’s ironic that Liz Lemon is supposed to look kind of bedraggled. She looks way more pulled together than I would if I were going to write for the show. I wouldn’t wear a blazer – I’d wear a sweat jacket.”

Jane Eyre co-stars Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender share the cover of W’s April 2011 issue. Inside, Mia discusses the roles she would like to play: “I would love to play a villain. I’ll have to learn to seem more diabolical.”

Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet wears an Herve Leger by Max Azria dress on the cover of Glamour’s April 2011 issue. Inside, she discusses plastic surgery: “No, I have never tried any of that stuff…I don’t have parts of my body that I hate or would like to trade for somebody else’s or wish I could surgically adjust into some fantasy version of what they are.”
