Fashion News: DVF, Ungaro + More

October 26, 2009

Last week it was reported that Lindsay Lohan’s design gig at Ungaro was in exchange for clothes ($100,000 worth of clothes, to be precise). As it turns out, she is. Claudia Croft of the Times Online spoke to Ungaro CEO, Mounir Moufarrige, who said that her pay package is “quite enough. It’s expensive”. [Times Online]

Diane von Fürstenberg, the fashion designer best known for her hallmark wrap dress, was robbed on Sunday during a day-trip to a Spanish art museum. She quickly turned to her Twitter followers for comfort: “Madrid. I just got robbed in the street in front of the Thyssen museum… My wallet, cash and all my credit cards!!” [DVF Twitter]

Agent Provocateur has signed a fragrance deal with British distributor, Designer Parfums. “This… deal enhances our long-term strategy to offer a global marketing, manufacturing and distribution service,” said Dilesh Mehta, managing director of Designer Parfums, of the ten-year deal. [WWD]

Too bad DVF was robbed in Madrid. The Thyssen Museum has gate entrance and there are usually people on the street outside.
