Fashion News: Garance Dore, Georgina Chapman + More

Today in Fashion News: French fashion blogger Garance Doré has revealed that a TV show featuring her and boyfriend/fellow blogger Scott Schuman (aka The Sartorialist) is in the works. Meanwhile, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman is expecting a child this summer with husband Harvey Weinstein.

• A Karl Lagerfeld-narrated series – The Story Of Fashion – will be released on DVD. The three-part series was first seen on A&E back in 1987. [Styleite]

• Australian denim label Ksubi have hired celebrated stylist Brana Wolf to consult on their spring show in May. [SMH]

• Jil Sander is launching a lower-priced collection called Jil Sander Navy for spring 2011. The line will hit stores in January and will have a “more relaxed, sporty-chic attitude.” [WWD]

• Several of Italy’s well-known designers, including Giorgio Armani and Prada, have joined up to ensure that Milan Fashion Week will last a full seven days. [Vogue UK]

• Swarovski has partnered with Sex & The City 2 on jewelry and accessories for the film, which hits theatres in May. To celebrate, 800 Swarovski boutiques will decorate their windows in the style of the Sex & The City characters. [WWD]
