Fashion News: Leighton Meester, Madonna + More• Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester is reportedly the new face of Italian fashion house Missoni. Meanwhile, Meester has revealed she only has two more years on Gossip Girl. [InTouch, E! Online]

• Two years after launching her juniors line Abbey Dawn exclusively at Kohl’s, pop star Avril Lavigne is branching out on her own. Lavigne will launch her own line of rock-inspired tops for men and women, still under the Abbey Dawn label, which will be sold online and in boutiques worldwide. A full-fledged juniors line will follow. [WWD]

• David Koma, Holly Fulton, Louise Gray, Mary Katrantzou and Michael van der Ham have been chosen to receive this season’s British Fashion Council NEWGEN catwalk sponsorship, supported by Topshop, to show at London Fashion Week in February 2011. [Vogue UK]

• Christian Lacroix will serve as art director for a forthcoming exhibit, “The Orient of Women,” at the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris. He’ll personally select 150 pieces of traditional Middle Eastern clothing and accessories for the show, which will open in February. [WWD]

• Madonna’s juniors line, Material Girl, will launch in Canada’s Hudson’s Bay Co. stores this spring. Meanwhile, Madonna is collaborating with Dolce & Gabbana on a sunglasses range under the MDG name, is launching a lingerie line tentatively labeled Truth or Dare, and has an activewear label in the works.
