Italian fashion design house, Moschino, is set to launch an accessories line under the name Love Moschino (up until last year, Moschino Jeans was the name of their diffusion line). The line, which will consist of handbags, totes, wallets and clutches, will be priced between $168 and $445, appealing to a younger customer. [WWD]

Model Agyness Deyn has been bitten by the acting bug. Agyness will appear in a short film with Linus Roache from Law & Order, under the direction of Peter McGough. No other details have been revealed yet. The mystery continues. [Modelinia]

It has been confirmed that Jean Paul Gaultier is the next designer to team up with Target’s Designer Collaboration. Gaultier will be the third designer after Alexander McQueen and Anna Sui to participate in the series. Gaultier’s muse will be the American woman and America’s pop culture. The collection will be in more than 250 Target stores from March 7th 2010 to April 11th 2010. [NBC New York]

Mayor Bloomberg (of NYC) and the CFDA are holding a competition to find twelve young designers an affordable space in the Garment District to work out of. The winning dozen will be able to use a city-sponsored fashion “incubator” in the district. The competition will begin in November with finalists expected to be chosen by December. “New York City is the fashion capital of the world, but we’re not about to take that for granted,” Bloomberg said.
