• British supermodel Naomi Campbell has been approached with an offer to front a new, X Factor-style modeling show. Campbell would offer advice and feedback to a group of budding models, who would compete against each other until there was one model left. Her spokesperson told the Daily Mail: “An initial approach has been made. We are discussing that offer, but nothing is set in stone yet.” [Vogue UK]
• Christopher Bailey confirmed that Burberry would again show at London Fashion Week in February. Bailey made the announcement while collecting his award for Designer Brand of the Year at last night’s British Fashion Awards. Burberry returned to London Fashion Week in September after showing in Milan for several seasons. [Elle UK]
• New York Magazine spoke to Elle’s Anne Slowey about Bazaar’s choice to have Tavi write a column for their January issue. Apparently Slowey isn’t buying into the teen sensation. “I’m sort of fascinated in the same way the world was with JT Leroy,” Slowey said. “You look at her video, and the writing doesn’t sync up with the way she talks about fashion. When I watched that video it smacked of this ethereal vagueness — this vacantlike quality where it was like everyone was on Vicodin. Like everyone was uncomfortably dumb except for me.” [NY Mag]
