• Christopher Bailey confirmed that Burberry would again show at London Fashion Week in February. Bailey made the announcement while collecting his award for Designer Brand of the Year at last night’s British Fashion Awards. • New York Magazine spoke to Elle’s Anne Slowey about Bazaar’s choice to have Tavi write a column for their January issue. Apparently Slowey isn’t buying into the teen sensation. “I’m sort of fascinated in the same way the world was with JT Leroy,” Slowey said. “You look at her video, and the writing doesn’t sync up with the way she talks about fashion. When I watched that video it smacked of this ethereal vagueness — this vacantlike quality where it was like everyone was on Vicodin. Like everyone was uncomfortably dumb except for me.” [NY Mag]

I’d definitely be more inclined to watch a show hosted by Naomi than I would to see the ones Tyra or Heidi are fronting. I’m sure Naomi would have a bit more attitude and words of wisdom 😉 Yay for Burberry showing in London again, and though Slowey may be accurate, I think most traditional media doesn’t have a choice but to grasp at the next blogging sensation in order to stay relevant.
