Fashion News: Nicole Richie, Kate Moss + More

• Nicole Richie (pictured) has big dreams for her Winter Kate and House Of Harlow lines. Future plans include a higher-end footwear collection under the Winter Kate label, a retail store that may open in 2011 and a potential expansion to home furnishings and a full lifestyle offering. [WWD]

• British model Agyness Deyn has teamed up with Barneys Japan to produce an 11-piece collection that includes dresses, knits, scarves, tees and leggings. The collection will be available in Tokyo beginning March 13. [WWD]

• Christian Lacroix SNC will enter four new product categories after being reduced to a licensing operation in December following a bankruptcy filing. [WWD]

• European private equity firm Permira is looking to opt out of its investment in Proenza Schouler, and possibly Valentino too. Permira have apparently put out feelers, with several investment funds said to be interested in the two. [WWD]

• Kate Moss is training to be a ballerina for a short film made by choreographer Michael Clarke. For the short, Moss will dance with world-famous ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov. Meanwhile, Moss will appear in a new movie about Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix will play a fantasy concert at the Glastonbury music festival, with Moss watching from the sidelines. [Elle UK, Digital Spy]

• Lucky Brand will launch a bra collection for fall. The collection will be rendered in Lucky Brand’s signature prints such as Navajo motifs, vintage tea stain patterns and surfer-inspired florals. [WWD]

• Rebecca Minkoff and Henri Bendel are inviting fashion bloggers to meet Minkoff and browse her spring line, in honor of the line’s pop-up shop in Henri Bendel’s Fifth Avenue window. The event will take place on Thursday. [WWD]
