Wunderkind Alexander Wang has created his first ever collection of sunglasses, set to debut with his Spring 2010 collection. Yesterday, Opening Ceremony had a sneak preview of the delectable shades.
As you would expect from the boy genius, they are edgy and grungy, with just the right amount of rock & roll to keep his model friends satisfied. Embellishments include gold zipper hardware and silver cat-eye shapes, layered over chic black frames.
Alexander Wang designed the sunglasses for iconic London brand Linda Farrow. In recent years, Linda Farrow has designed for Luella Bartley and Giles Deacon, as well as releasing her own signature line of vintage-inspired, oversized sunglasses.
If Wang’s previous sought-after accessories are anything to go by, not only will these shades be a sell-out, they’ll also be setting the trends for 2010. Do you agree?
