Alice + Olivia For Keds

Stacey Bendet, the founder and designer of contemporary label Alice + Olivia, has paid homage to her childhood by designing a limited-edition line of sneakers in collaboration with Keds. “I don’t think I removed Keds from my feet as a kid,” Bendet said. “I can’t even count how many pairs I had.”

Bendet decided to bring some “Alice + Olivia fun” to the 2010 Keds Champion style. Inspired by her spring collection, she designed a sequined shoe in four colors – black, silver, pale pink and safari green. Each shoe is a slip-on style and will retail for $88. The shoes will launch this spring at Neiman Marcus stores, Alice + Olivia boutiques and select retailers worldwide.

These shoes are totally in keeping with the current trends. The pale pink is perfect if you planned to try out pastel hues, while safari green is great for those who want to try military chic. What do you think? Would you try out one of these embellished sneakers or will you stick to ballet flats?
