Harper’s Bazaar: March 2010

British supermodel Kate Moss is obviously no stranger to magazine covers; she has just landed the March issue cover of Harper’s Bazaar. However, she is a stranger to interviews, preferring to keep to herself for most of her modeling career. Luckily, Bazaar managed to nab a rare interview with the model that accompanies her cover shot.

Kate, who has designed several collections for Topshop and has just tucked a new collaboration with Longchamp under her designing wing, revealed her thoughts on that side of her career: “I’m not really a fashion designer. I just love clothes. I’ve never been to design school. I can’t sketch. I can’t cut patterns and things. I can shorten things. I can make a dress out of a scarf.”

She goes on to describe her shock at the thought that many designers ‘find great old clothes in stores and copy them.’  Kate told the magazine: “Lee [Alexander] McQueen doesn’t do that! [John] Galliano doesn’t do that! There are lots of them who don’t. Stella [McCartney] is a proper designer!”

It’s always interesting when Kate does an interview, because they are so rare, so I am definitely curious to see what else she has to say. Do you want to hear Kate’s thoughts on the industry?
