Nicole Richie can’t be stopped. Despite the fact that she has two young children to look after and an ABC sitcom in production, Nicole is expanding her House of Harlow accessories label to include footwear, as well as launching her Winter Kate clothing line next week.
Today we have a first look at House of Harlow’s new collection. Now an old-hand at jewelry design, Nicole focused her latest pieces on her favorite animal, the peacock. The Peackock Cuff (pictured) is one of several pieces that feature the bright bird.
For her first season designing footwear, Nicole gathered inspiration from a variety of sources. The Pearl Shoe (pictured) was inspired by the dark Victorian fashion in 2001’s From Hell, a film about Jack The Ripper. “I wanted to corset the back of the shoe to give it a little something.”
Nicole also turned her designing hand to eyewear, creating a five-piece eyewear collection that includes sunglasses and masks. “Sunglasses are like mini masks,” Nicole notes. “You can have a complete look without worrying about makeup and what your face looks like all the time.”
