Every now and then I stumble across a lookbook that makes me want to revamp my entire wardrobe. The J Crew Collection Spring 2010 lookbook is one such example. It is chock full of closet essentials; those basic pieces that are an absolute must-have for your wardrobe.
There is literally something for everyone here. You’ll find the perfect biker jacket, a great pair of harem pants, a sequined mini dress that is ideal for your next party, statement necklaces, Oxford shoes, one-shouldered dresses, nautical stripes, ruffled miniskirts, the list goes on.
More importantly, while the lookbook does cover a lot of current trends – rompers, boyfriend blazers and striped minis, to name a few – it doesn’t go overboard. I am really impressed with this collection – it’s affordable, chic and very accessible. I’ll take one of everything! What do you think?

I am in absolute love with everything J. Crew right now. It seems as if they’ve found the perfect balance of strong, feminine and classic pieces that can stay in a woman’s wardrobe for decades to come.
Don’t even get me started on that gold-y sequin tank dress …
I am usually not the biggest fan of J. Crew, but these looks are great!
It just keeps getting better and better! I ADORE that cream pencil skirt with the black side panel. I wish I had a job that called for biz casual to wear it!
super cute clothes… but why does the model look so surprised? did the camera man sneak up on her? you’d think she’d be expecting him after the first couple of shots lol
same in every catalog, cute clothes (except of course the 90’s overalls – wth?), worn by an anorexic, dumb-looking model. i thought marketing was supposed to be aspirational.
I like the pants in the 4th pic but can’t find them online!
I like the look, but I can’t get past how insanely skinny this girl is compared to other j.crew models, or at least she looks it. It actually draws my attention form the clothes and makes me think some of them aren’t as great as they may actually be. Sort of a bummer – I always appreciated the look of j.crew models.
