On Saturday Topshop is once again joining forces with Louise Goldin to release a knitwear collection just in time for Christmas. Louise apparently took her inspiration from a collection of vintage and modern ‘Transformers’ as well as robot memorabilia.
Louise’s third collection for Topshop since 2007 includes a wool jumper dress, sweater and leggings. The idea behind the pieces is that they can all transcend easily from day to evening.
Our personal favorites are a set comprised of a sweater and a pair of leggings. Both of them are made of a black knit combined with ultra-sheer cut-outs – very on trend. We also like the 80s-inspired, oversized sweater covered in different shades of blues and greens.
Prices are starting at £35 for the wool leggings and £70 for long sweater. No official word yet on US dollar prices but we’re thinking around $60 for the leggings, $115 for the sweater.
The collection will be available online on the 14th of November and in-store in the US at the end of November.

watch out in Topshop you might pick up an artwork by accident!
The latest iteration of SHOPPUTTING ‘Bottoms for Topshop’ involves placing clothes made for the bottom half of the body in branches of Topshop. Conneally has been stopped by security 4 times in the first two days of this piece and the police were called to attend twice. On both occaisions officers released him without charge whilst explaining to shop security that to place goods in a shop without permission is not against the law.
Bottoms for Topshop continues throughout November in branches of Topshop across the Midlands.
SHOPPUTTING is an ongoing work that sees Paul Conneally placing clothes, shoes and other goods in shops. It is the opposite of shoplifting. The goods are not for sale but have a label informing shoppers that if they like this article they can simply take it. The labels have messages or slogans on them (Conneally calls these poems) often coupled with images.
