Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2009: The Aftermath

Who watched the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Tuesday night? For those who missed out, or even for those who did manage to catch a glimpse of the VS Angels in all their glory, we have a few interesting details in the aftermath of the show.

We’ll start with a fun fact. The Daily News reported earlier this week that more than 100 pounds of body glitter was used. According to the wonderful WWW, that’s about the same weight as a hellfire missile. Coincidence? In addition to the body glitter, Selita Ebanks told The Daily News that she thought there were about 20 layers of makeup on her butt alone. “It’s all about creating the illusion of this amazing body on the runway,” she said.

Next up, a surprise guest. If you did manage to watch the show, you probably caught a glimpse of Heidi Klum on the catwalk. Although she was originally scheduled just to host the show, after giving birth to daughter Lou just weeks before the taping, Heidi made a last minute decision to take a turn on the catwalk, surprising and delighting her fans.

Another surprise? Fans of the show have probably been following the Victoria’s Secret Model Search, where Victoria’s Secret held a nationwide casting call for aspiring VS models. They narrowed it down to two finalists, who both walked in the taping on November 19. On Tuesday, the winner was announced – Kylie Bisutti – a 19-year old, married Californian native.
