H&M have release their spring magazine, with a cover and editorial featuring Erin Wasson. There is always a lot of chic-chat when Erin models for a company like H&M that revolves around whether a grunge goddess like her should model for a clean-cut company.

Finally, this editorial proves that there is a happy medium for Erin. By mixing classic denim pieces and fresh tees with chunky boots and Navajo-inspired earrings, they’ve managed to give us a healthy dose of Erin without taking away from the fresh-faced appeal that H&M has. A success?

• Rachel Zoe (pictured) will guest blog for FabSugar for the next few weeks. The celebrity stylist will share her thoughts on spring trends, closet organization and how to get red-carpet ready. [FabSugar]

• Amy Winehouse is collaborating with British label Fred Perry on a clothing collection that will debut in stores in October. The 17-piece collection consists of mostly black and pinks items, including skirts, pants and dresses. [WWD]

• Blondie star Debbie Harry is teaming up with Converse to design a punk-inspired sneaker. “The shoes have been such a staple in rock & roll and fashion for so long; it seems like a real genuine kind of relationship,” Harry told Spin. [Contact Music]

• British TV personality Cheryl Cole is apparently at the center of a bidding war. At least three fashion houses, including Roberto Cavalli, are clamoring to sign the star on as a spokesperson. [The Mirror UK]

• Guess is collaborating with the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandise to launch the Guess Design Challenge. The winning student will be offered a design assistant position in Guess’ women’s apparel division. [WWD]

• Heatherette designer Richie Rich is launching a new fashion label called Tabloid Hero, inspired by his muse Pamela Anderson. Rich has said celebrity pals such as Fergie and Kim Kardashian are “dying to wear it.” [NY Post]

• Keds has collaborated with Gap on a collection of footwear that will launch in Gap stores in July. For women, the collection will consist of denim, metallic canvas and printed versions of the classic Champion style and will retail for around $40 – $50. [WWD]

• Matthew Williamson has designed a capsule collection of handbags for Bulgari’s Spring 2011 season, which will be shown at Milan Fashion Week in September. [WWD]

• Reality star Whitney Port is the new spokesperson for Zeno Hotspot, the recently-launched acne-fighting device. “My career puts a lot of emphasis on having clear skin,” Port said of the partnership. [People StyleWatch]

• Yohji Yamamoto will show his men’s collection for the first time in two seasons, returning to Tokyo after several seasons in Paris. [WWD]

Remember Jess Hart, the charming, gap-toothed model who appeared alongside Whitney Port on The City’s first season? Jess has just added designer to her resume, releasing a capsule collection with Australian retailer General Pants. Neon Hart is a ragbag assortment of clothes that takes inspiration from the rocker chic aesthetic of the 1980s.

Or, in Jess’s words: “Chunky and studded pieces, edgy and clean, a splash of red, animal print and lace. It’s a bit boyish, a bit rock and roll and even a bit sexy. It’s uncomplicated clothes [that] I wear on a daily basis.”

It Girl: Kirsten Dunst

If there is one thing that can be said about Kirsten Dunst, it is that she always dresses for comfort. That’s not to say she isn’t super stylish; she is. But the girl doesn’t sacrifice her personal comfort for fashion. Luckily, she has managed to combine the two to come up with her own quirky style.

Kirsten’s style is an effortless mix of vintage chic and modern basics. She has a knack for bringing out the best in a vintage dress, often updating an otherwise drab silhouette by throwing on a modern piece like a denim jacket or boyfriend blazer. Her unforced, natural aesthetic has resulted in Kirsten becoming the unofficial muse of Rodarte’s Mulleavy sisters. “She inspires us to be more creative,” Kate Mulleavy says.

As a muse to Rodarte and many others, Kirsten Dunst was a natural choice for March’s edition of It Girl. You clearly agreed, because she led our reader’s poll from the beginning. Whether you like her for her cool-yet-casual style or her quirky take on vintage, you’ll be sure to find some inspiration below. With that, we present some of our favorite looks from Kirsten over the years.

#1. Here, our It Girl heads out on the town with red hair and a toned-down, casual look. Her grey skinny jeans are paired with simple ballet flats and a slouchy cardigan for a great “everyday” style. For a stylish take on Kirsten’s outfit, pair BDG’s Premium Skinny Jeans ($54) with Splendid’s Hemp Slub Slouchy Cardigan ($63). Finish off the look with these Leather Ballet Flats ($39.50) from Gap and a skinny leather belt.

#2. Heading out for day in Hollywood, Kirsten mixed a 50s-inspired denim skirt with a floral top, then accessorized with a thin scarf and bright green Wayfarers for a modern touch. For a similar style, try this Chambray Elastic Waist Skirt ($24.99) from Arden B, paired with Topshop’s Lace Floral Shawl Top ($50). As you walk out the door, grab these Summer Wayfarers ($196.58) by Ray-Ban.

#3. As with all our It Girls, the ability to mix-and-match is essential. Here, Kirsten shows us how to work a vintage dress by pairing it with a denim jacket and a pair of leather sandals for an updated look. For a similar style, we love Stop Staring’s Vintage Dress ($142) paired with AE’s Cropped Denim Jacket ($34.95). Add a pair of Huarache Flats ($18.99) from Charlotte Russe and you are good to go.

#4. Here our It Girl provides us with another fresh take on casual dressing. Kirsten pairs a grunge-inspired plaid shirt with simple black shorts and a pair of peep-toed wedges. For a similar style, try this Plaid Cotton Shirt ($62) by J.A.K., mixed with Topshop’s Black Denim Hotpants ($44). Throw on a pair of Ucantell Peep-Toe Wedges ($69) by Bandolino to complete the look.

#5. One of the things we love most about Kirtsen’s style is her ability to pull off just about anything. This effortless ensemble combines a pair of high-waist, wide-leg jeans – totally inspired by the 70s – with a plain white tee, an embroidered leather satchel and her favorite wedge shoe. DVB’s High Waist Wide Leg Jean ($189) starts the look off nicely, especially when paired with J Crew’s Vintage Slub V-Neck Tee ($29.50) and Lucky Brand’s Get Laced Embroidered Leather Crossbody Bag ($119).

BleachBlack Branch Rings

Kristin Reiter and Valerie Killeen of the popular blog BleachBlack are on a role. Later this month, their latest collaboration with Urban Outfitters will launch: a branch ring that was inspired by the “treasured faux-bois wedding ring from 1975″ that Valerie’s mother owned.

Last year, Kristin and Valerie designed a rhinestone-encrusted necklace for Urban Outfitters. They followed it up by collaborating with Need Supply on a metallic green nail color called Dick Weed.

Their design talent doesn’t come without a history; both girls work in the fashion industry. Kristin is design director at RVCA while Valerie is a senior apparel designer in the skateboard industry.

Last year we featured an interview with Sarah Bagner, the cutting-edge Londoner behind Supermarket Sarah. Supermarket Sarah is an online shop with a twist. The website features a picture of Sarah’s London flat, with a wall of wares that you can click on and purchase. If you’re in London, you can visit Supermarket Sarah personally, where you’ll be greeted with tea and cakes.

For her latest wall of treasures, Sarah has enlisted the help of guest curators, Anna Murray and Grace Winteringham from Patternity, who have put together a selection of bright, patterned goods that are perfect for spring. From technicolor sweater dresses to vintage swimsuits, from woven basket bags to nail files, there’s a little something for everyone.
