Prepare yourself for an onslaught of beautiful people in beautiful poses: In just over a week’s time, the 2011 Pirelli calendar will be unveiled in Moscow, Russia. The calendar, which was photographed by Karl Lagerfeld in April at his Paris studio, is this year inspired by the gods of Greek and Roman mythology. To be more specific, the calendar takes inspiration from Jupiter (the Roman King of The Gods and God of the Sky, Thunder and Lightning and Law, Order and Justice) and Dionysus/Bacchus (the Greek God of Wine, Theatre, and Ecstasy).
How does that translate? In this photo, which was just revealed, you’ll see models Garrett Neff, Isabeli Fontana and Bianca Balti as “Bacchus with Two Bacchantes.” Also expected in the calendar: Heidi Mount, Lara Stone, Natasha Poly, Iris Strubegger, Elisa Sednaoui, Magdalena Frackowiak, and Julianne Moore.
