What Goes Around Comes Around’s Spring 2011 collection is perfectly in tune with the 1970s-inspired looks that stormed the spring runways. Creative director Gerard Maione took inspiration from two sources: the hippie culture of San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles, and the stories and images in The Beautiful Fall, a book that chronicles the lives of Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld. The result? Silk peasant dresses, beaded chiffon shrugs, crochet vests, embroidered peasant tops, military jackets and more. To top off the collection, several pieces are finished in bohemian-luxe fabrics, including vintage scarves, floral textiles, and indigo patchwork taken from a turn-of-the-century quilt.
