Although I am still not used to America’s catalog chaos, I do get a little giddy when I check the mail and find a Free People catalog. Such was the case yesterday. After flipping through it for a while, I started to recognize some landmarks and realized that the shoot had taken place in one of my favorite European cities, Prague, in the Czech Republic.
One of the landmarks featured in the catalog is the Lennon Wall, which since the communist regime in the 1980s has been covered with the lyrics of Lennon (and the Beatles) and is representative of love and peace. Another landmark is the Astronomical Clock and the Charles Bridge.
Prague is, to me, the perfect place for a brand like Free People to shoot their catalog. Prague is the capital of Bohemia and, as is obvious, the bohemian style is Free People’s man theme. Check out some pages from the catalog below.
