The fashion world has been taking inspiration from Easy Rider since its release in 1969, so it seems only natural that free-spirited brand Free People has turned to the movie for its December 2010 catalog. The Free People team was specifically inspired by the laidback attitude of the freewheeling bikers (Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper) and the landscape of the American southwest. Of course, they also drew plenty of inspiration from the movie’s style—think distressed denim, leather and suede, paisley scarves, western shirts, biker boots, worn red leather, crochet and lace, and an abundance of fringe. The Easy Rider catalog and collection is available now at Free People stores, as well as online at FreePeople.com.
