New York Fashion Week is over, the weekend is upon us, and it is time to wrap up our backstage beauty reports just in time for some light Friday afternoon reading! Day seven and day eight of fashion week saw a slew of exciting shows take to the catwalk, including Anna Sui (above) and Jeremy Scott. Happily, we have all the need-to-know details on their beauty looks, the inspiration behind them, and how you can achieve them! For further details, read on!

Anna Sui
CoverGirl’s Pat McGrath was at Anna Sui on Wednesday, ready to create a look that would go hand in hand with the bohemian 1960s-inspired looks on show. Specifically, that meant: picture-perfect skin, rosy lips, a pinkish flush, and a shimmering eye.

On the face, McGrath applied CoverGirl ‘s NatureLuxe Silk Foundation to create a velvety-smooth complexion.

On the eyes, McGrath traced a line of CoverGirl LiquiLine Blast in Brown Blaze from the crease hollow of the eye along the inner bottom waterline. Then, she blended CoverGirl Eye Enhancers in Snow Blossom on the center lid and inner corners of each eye. To finish, she used CoverGirl NatureLuxe Mouse Mascara, a new product which will be out in July, on the lashes.

On the lips, McGrath applied CoverGirl NatureLuxe Gloss Balm in marble to create a glossy pink glow.

Jeremy Scott
MAC’s Val Garland was on hand Wednesday at Jeremy Scott. The inspiration behind her look? Cartoon-like club girls from the 1990s. Roughly translated, that meant bright acid hues on each eye, oversized eyelashes, an almost-nude face and a pastel pink lip.

On the face, Garland applied MAC Face & Body Foundation to create an even look.

On the eyes, Garland used one of three MAC Paint Stick combinations: (a) True Chartreuse as a base, followed by Sunny Spot and Landscape Green Pond as the contour; (b) Primary Yellow as a base, followed by Canary Yellow and Orange as the contour; or, (c) Orange as a base, followed by Orange and Cherry as the contour. Then, she applied MAC No. 35 Eyelashes to the top lashes and MAC No. 7 Eyelashes to the bottom lashes. To finish, Garland used MAC Hi Def Cyan Pencil to draw a strong blue line under each eye.

On the lips, Garland applied a layer of MAC Cool Pink Paint Stick to create a matte pink lip.
