Happily, we have the scoop on these beauty looks, the inspiration behind them, and the details on how you can recreate them at home. Read on!
At the Marchesa show, Laura Mercier makeup artist Talia Shobrook took inspiration from a series of otherworldly portraits by artist William Adolphe Bouguereaus to create an angelic look. To start, Shobrook used Laura Mercier’s Mega-Moisturizer Crème to moisturize the skin, before blending Laura Mercier’s Foundation Primer and Laura Mercier’s Foundation Primer Radiance on the skin to create an iridescent base. Next, she used Laura Mercier’s Silk Crème Foundation to create a porcelain look, before highlighting the face with a mix of Laura Mercier’s Hydrating Foundation Primer and Laura Mercier’s Foundation Primer Radiance. On the lips, Shobrook created a cherubic lip by blending Laura Mercier’s Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Merlot and Haute Red (unreleased). As for the eyes, Shobrook first applied Laura Mercier’s Eye Canvas to each lid as a base, before applying Laura Mercier’s Illuminating Eye Colour in Gilded Moonshine (unreleased) as a liner. To finish, she applied Laura Mercier’s Center Faux Lashes and several coats of Laura Mercier’s Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara.
MAC Cosmetics makeup artist Diane Kendal stayed true to the signature “downtown cool” look that Alexander Wang is known for. To start, Kendal blended MAC’s Pro Sculpting Cream in Coffee Walnut (unreleased) onto the face, before using MAC’s Pro Sculpting Cream in Accentuate to highlight and sculpt the face. Next, Kendal applied black liner across the lash line to define the eye, before filling in the brows to create a bold brow.
Diane von Furstenberg
At the Diane von Furstenberg show, MAC Cosmetics makeup artist James Kaliardos wanted to create an old-school romantic look. To start, Kaliardos applied a mix of MAC’s Mineralize Moisture Gel, MAC’s Studio Sculpt Foundation, MAC’s Pro Conceal and Correct (unreleased) and MAC’s Pure Sculpture Pro-Sculpting Cream (unreleased), aiming to create a soft look. Next, he applied MAC’s Pro Longwear Eye Shadow in Lingering Softly (unreleased) on the entire eyelid, before apply a line of MAC’s Eye Kohl in Smolder along the top lash line and MAC’s Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Grey Utility along the waterline. To finish, Kaliardos applied MAC’s Eye Shadow in Texture and MAC’s Eye Kohl in Blooz to the center of each eyelid and a helping of MAC’s Studio Fix Lash in Black Fix to the lashes. As for the lips, Kaliardos applied a layer of MAC’s Lip Pencil in Soar.
