Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock, designers of New York-based label Vena Cava, created a collection of “practical, matter-of-fact, not too over-styled clothes” that referenced classic American sportswear. MAC makeup artist Christian McColloch wanted to create a strong beauty look for Vena Cava, so he opted for “super-sculpted cheekbones, winged-out dark shadow, and orange lips.” Specifically? McColloch used blue eyeliner on the lids and then smudged MAC Midnight Blue over the top. He added a touch of Contrast in the corner, and then finished with a layer of Graphology. On the lashes, he used multiple coats of Haute & Naughty mascara. On the cheeks, McColloch used a taupe powder to contour the cheekbones and then a peach blush on the apples. He finished with a bright peach lipstick.
Butter London manicurist Nonie Creme created a half-moon look for Vena Cava using two coats of Yummy Mummy and one coat of Union Jack Black for the half-moons.
