Gianfranco Ferré’s Spring 2010 Ad Campaign

It was only last week that we were busy outlining Dree Hemingway’s achievements for our Best Of: Models 2009 round-up and now, just over a week into 2010, the lovely Dree has turned up in Gianfranco Ferré’s spring ad campaign.

It was only last week that we were busy outlining Dree Hemingway’s achievements for our Best Of: Models 2009 round-up and now, just over a week into 2010, the lovely Dree has turned up in Gianfranco Ferré’s spring ad campaign.

The pictures were shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in New York. Although it is hard to see in the pictures, a Ferré staple – the safety pin – is fastened to Dree’s dress; the safety pin’s first outing in a Gianfranco Ferré ad campaign.

Gianfranco Ferré’s designers, Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi, said of Dree: “We know she’s very trendy right now, but she really reflects the feminine and sensual message of the spring collection.” Although I agree with the designers, I am personally happy enough to just look at Dree’s Carrie Bradshaw-esque hair in this campaign – forget the clothes!
