Givenchy Summer 2010 Collection

Shopping for cosmetics is sometimes like being in a candy shop, surrounded by bright colors and powdery palettes that look good enough to eat. Givenchy’s Summer 2010 Collection has that same vibe, with trays of marbled blue eyeshadow and patterned pink powder set next to shimmering cocoa lip gloss.

The entire summer collection was stirred by another luxury – travel. Givenchy’s artistic director, Nicolas Degennes, kept a travel diary at an exotic photo shoot and then channeled the colors and scents of the tropical location into the summer collection. Even the packaging received an update for summer, with slick patent black boxes and a slimmer design.

Seen above, from left to right: Givenchy Le Prisme Mono/Givenchy Unique Eyeshadow ($29), Givenchy Fleur de Frangipanier/Givenchy Unique Compact Powder ($45), Givenchy Pop Gloss Crystal Sun 474 Island Cocoa ($24.50) and Givenchy Phenomen’ Eyes Waterproof Mascara ($29).

The entire Givenchy Summer 2010 collection hits stores, like Sephora, on May 1.
