H&M has just announced that its fall 2011 designer collaboration will be with Versace, the iconic Italian fashion house founded in 1978 by Gianni Versace and now helmed by Donatella Versace. The exclusive collection will include ranges for women and men, as well as select pieces for the home. According to the press release, the collection is inspired by the brand’s heritage, which means it is teeming with leather, print, color and “exuberance” and will be “perfect for the party season.” Interestingly, the launch has been split into two this time around: the main collection will launch on November 17, while a pre-spring collection will launch on January 19. Another point of note: the press release states that the line will launch in around 300 stores worldwide, as well as online, meaning that perhaps, just perhaps, the highly-anticipated H&M ecommerce will have launched by then!
