At the end of February 2014, H&M will launch the first products made from textile fibres, from garments collected in the Garment Collecting Initiative. H&M will introduce five classic denim pieces consisting of jeans and jackets for both men and women, which are made from recycled cotton also as an example of how H&M is closing the loop on textiles.
“The Trend is moving more and more towards working with recycled fabrics and as a designer you of course want to work with the latest trends and developments.” says Jon Loman, concept designer working with the recycled denim fabric. “It feels good to do something that both we and our customers believe in and that benefits the environment”.
