Whether you are at fashion week or not, we all know how good it feels to put your feet up at the end of a long week and treat yourself to a soothing scrub, a quick soak, and a home pedicure. Of course, some of us are also on a budget, which is why we are so excited to share with you a recipe for a fab homemade Strawberry Peppermint foot scrub. The scrub comes courtesy of Erika Katz, author of Bonding over Beauty, and it is so easy to make. (In fact, you could even make little pots as a gift for your friends!) Click inside for all the details on what to buy and how to make it.
• 2 cups pureed strawberries
• 1 tablespoon of olive oil
• 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
• 2 tablespoons of granulated white sugar
• 4 drops peppermint essential oil
Simply blend all the ingredients well and then transfer into a pretty glass jar. To use the scrub, simply rub the scrub into your feet gently in a circular motion, rinse with warm water, and enjoy the results! It is great to use strawberries in this recipe because they are rich in salicylic acid, which helps dead skin shed more easily. The sugar granules also help to exfoliate your skin but are super-gentle on delicate skin.
