Want to know what you’re sure to be lusting over when spring and summer roll into town again? Take a quick look at J Crew’s Spring 2011 collection, which was revealed at a presentation in New York City last week. Happily, the collection stays true to the casual-glam aesthetic that we have come to know and love from J Crew president/creative director Jenna Lyons and women’s lead designer Marissa Webb. Fans will find sequin-embellished skirts, slouchy lightweight sweaters, ruffled shorts, pleated pants, smock dresses, and cool anoraks and blazers, all in a bright sorbet-inspired palette inspired by the colors in Hans Hoffman paintings. As for accessories, look for military-chic satchels, buckled boots, gladiator sandals, braided leather belts, and sunglasses with a slight cat-eye. The collection will arrive in stores next year.
