Jalouse: Stereotypes

French fashion magazine Jalouse has played with the most common style stereotypes in an editorial for its June issue, including La Baby Rockeuse, La Folk and La Preppy, among others.

It is a known fact that style stereotypes run rampant in fashion – the rocker, the bohemian, the hipster, and so on. For its June issue, French fashion magazine Jalouse has played with the most common stereotypes in an editorial starring Katja Borghuis, styled by Sebastie Cambos and photographed by Sol Sanchez. La Baby Rockeuse (The Baby Rock Singer) is decked out in an array of torn and studded clothing by Vivienne Westwood, Roberto Cavalli and Burberry, among others; La Folk (The Folk) is seen in a bohemian ensemble that includes Isabel Marant, D&G and Celine; and, La Preppy (The Preppy) is put together in Miu Miu, Dior and Kipling. Further stereotypes abound – check out the pictures below.
